Watfordin kannattajat eivät olleet alkuunkaan tyytyväisiä joukkueensa esitykseen Valioliigan viikonlopun kierroksella. Hornets hävisi pitkään kymmenellä miehellä pelanneelle Hullille, ja osa kannattajista oli sitä mieltä, että ”pelaajat olivat jo rannalla”.
Urheasti taistellut Hull voitti ottelun 2–0 Lazar Markovićin ja Sam Clucasin maaleilla. Etenkin Clucasin kaukolaukausosuma oli kaunista katseltavaa.
Watford on sarjataulukossa turvallisesti kymmenentenä, mutta tasaisuus on puuttunut joukkueen otteista tällä kaudella. Hyvää peliesitystä on turhan usein seurannut huono.
